Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Drew Hunt Chicago Reader Sandler's films have always been stupid, but the early stuff is pretty harmless; here the jokes almost always come at the expense of someone else, the kind of needless bullying one expects of a YouTube comment section. Jul 28, 2014 Full Review Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Simon Crook Empire Magazine [A] slothful, indulgent sequel that sees a once-great screen comedian hit self-inflicted Sandlergeddon. Rated: 1/5 Jul 28, 2014 Full Review Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald Rob Schneider, the butt of many jokes in the first Grown-Ups, is nowhere to be seen. Salma Hayek, as Lenny's wife, looks understandably tense and irritable throughout. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 28, 2014 Full Review Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) James Croot Stuff.co.nz However, strip away the rare moments of humility and championing of small town life and you're left with what is simply a series of sexist and scatological vignettes... Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 7, 2023 Full Review Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies This film incited more facepalms and head-shakes than laughs, and the script feels like something Sandler could have scribbled on the palm of his hand. Rated: 0.5/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Grown Ups 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Grown Ups 2 won't please a good majority of the film critics, but it's not a film for the film critics. Porter L Like the first one, just have fun watching and don’t over analyzing every. It’s meant to be goofy and chilich and that’s why the movie is so appealing Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/28/24 Full Review cinema f “They'll do anything for their families..except grow up.”It’s even funnier than the first. I hope they make more because these films are gold. 5/5 stars. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Nick R Massively worse than the first one, I really didn't think it was possible for this crew to sink any lower. This is just an insult to comedy at this point. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Jordan Marie L Grown-ups 2 (2013)The Reunion of Laughs: Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)Dennis Dugan directed Grown Ups 2, he created a sequel of the original Grown Ups. He made the movie more hilarious and included Adam Sandlers funny friends. The actors Kevin James, Chris Rock, and David Spade, reunite when Sandler moves back to his hometown where his friends await. The movie gives you the opportunity for laughter and a nostalgic feel. Cast- The cast is what makes the movie the most entertaining. Adam Sandler and the co-stars give a casual vibe to the movie and good energy. The cast is very fun and they all have their sense of humor. Setting- The setting is very vibrant and gives a small-town feel, there is also an 80-themed party toward the end of the movie which makes it more vibrant, it also could factor into the nostalgia for some. It gives a lighthearted tone and keeps the audience engaged throughout the movie. Plot- The plot is hard to point out since the movie is so casual and is mostly focused on fun-filled moments of the cast and themes of family and friendship keep it entertaining. Character development- The cast works well together to keep the continuous laughs from the audience throughout the movie. The acting feels real and they create comfort in the film, they prove the youth in adulthood. The movie is so enjoyable to watch since it reminds you of youth and the happiness in life, it shows the bond of family and friendship. The humor ties into the film very well since it can be so relatable which gives it the entertaining title. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Honestly idk why it gets so much hate it is a meh continuation to a 100/10 movie but it is still good Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/05/24 Full Review John D Okay so good film, but it’s a Hollywood sequel so what do you expect. In my personal opinion Grown ups was much better and if i had to say it was a 8.5/10 but this newer grown ups was probably around a 6ish or 7 maybe out of five I would say 3.5 is good. Basically the whole movie is drunk frat kids plotting revenge on adults and then they all fight at a party. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review Read all reviews
